H.E. Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated the Holy Table of the church in Merenii Noi community of Anenii Noi region

On the Feast of Saint Great-Martyr Demetrius the Myrrh-Streamer, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy, surrounded by the parishioners of St. Demetrius Church of Merenii Noi community in Anenii Noi region.

His Eminence was assisted at the Service by Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, Archpriest Igor Chelea, Dean of Anenii Noi circumscription, Archpriest Vitalie Manoli, Rector of the parish of Merenii Noi, and numerous other priests and deacons.

Before the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Vladimir officiated the consecration service of the Holy Table of the newly built church.

At the Divine Service the parish rector, Fr. Vitalie Manoli, was rewarded by the Archpastor with the dignity of wearing the Palitsa and Cross with Jewels, in sign of appreciation of zealous work and efforts for the edification of the church in Merenii Noi community.

The Metropolitan also awarded church distinctions to a number of parishioners and ctitors of Merenii Noi parish.

After the Divine Liturgy, a Thanks-giving Te-Deum Service was officiated, with the community thanking the Lord for His utmost mercy and praying for the health and well-being of the ctitors and parishioners who always support the holy shrine.

In the guidance message, His Eminence reminded the parishioners and guests of the community of the need of taking good example of the life of Holy Martyr Demetrius, and congratulated all those present on this great spiritual feast.

In his turn, father rector of the St. Demetrius Church of Merenii Noi thanked the archpastor for the support and paternal care.

Before departure, His Eminence Vladimir distributed prayer books and icons, as a memory of this outstanding service.
