The meeting of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Moldova was held at the Metropolitan Residence

Tuesday, 20 December, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova presided the meeting of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Moldova that took place at the Metropolitan Residence.

All hierarchs of the Metropolis of Moldova participated at the meeting: HE Sava, Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubasari, HG Anatolie, Bishop of Cahul and Comrat, HG Petru, Bishop of Ungheni and Nisporeni, HG Marchel, Bishop of Balti and Falesti, HG Nicodim, Bishop of Edinet and Briceni, HG Ioan, Bishop of Soroca and Vicar of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, HG Siluan, Bishop of Orhei and Vicar of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, and the secretary of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, Archpriest Vadim Cheibas.

The Synod Agenda included reports of Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova, on the Metropolitan’s participation as permanent member in the session of Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church of 21 October 2016; ordainment of Archimandrite Siluan (Salaru) into the dignity of Bishop of Orhei and Vicar of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova; pilgrimage to the Holy Land on 8-15 December 2016; project of the heraldic emblem of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, and other issues.
