On the Sixth Sunday after Holy Pascha, the Sunday when the Church commemorates the miraculous healing of the blind-born man, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau.
The Divine Service was celebrated in the presence of numerous church-goers who came to the Cathedral to pray with the Hierarch and the Cathedral clergy, giving glory to God and praying to the Creator for peace and spiritual steadiness.
The Gospel Reading of the day reminds us about the miraculous healing of the blind-born man, teaching us that Jesus Christ is the sources of all healing and life, and that only the Creator of everything may endow us with true seeing in a world of spiritual darkness and weakness.
The Hierarch called the Christians to preserve the faith and work towards strengthening their intimate relation with God, following the example of the healed blind man who gained steadiness and courage in witnessing and confessing the true Healer – Jesus Christ.
