Monday, 5 June 2017, On the Feast of the Holy Spirit, the lecturers, students, their friends and relatives, united in prayer, joining Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova in the Divine Liturgy, celebrated at the Three Holy Hierarchs chapel of the Academy of Theology of Moldova, prior to the ceremony of handing in the Graduation Diplomas to the new Academy’s promotion.
His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir was assisted at the Divine Service by the metropolitan secretary, Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the Pro-rector of the Academy of Theology, Archpriest Vetcislav Cazacu, the Dean of the Theology Department, Archpriest Andrei Oistric, and numerous priests and deacons.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy the graduates read out the Oath of Faithfulness, after which the Metropolitan handed in the Graduation Diplomas to the Academy graduates.
In his message to the graduates, Metropolitan Vladimir, Rector of the Academy of Theology of Moldova, thanked the youth for their zeal and devotion during the years of their study, and for the respect exhibited to their teachers and lecturers who planted in their souls the seeds of the Gospel and the love of the holy matter. Thus, the Archpastor expressed hope that this promotion of the Academy of Orthodox Theology of Moldova will continue spreading the fame and prestige of theological education, and will become worthy servants of the Holy Altar, to the Glory of God and salvation of the faithful.
The Archpastor congratulated the teaching staff presided by Pro-rector of the Academy of Orthodox Theology, Mitred Archpriest Vetcislav Cazacu, underlining the devotion, professionalism, high pedagogical standard of those who have dedicated their lives for years to the education of new generations of theologians.
In their turn, the group of graduates thanked Metropolitan Vladimir for permanent archpastoral care of the studying youth of the Academy, underlining their gratefulness to their pedagogues, for their endless patience and perseverance during the years of education.
The Academy of Orthodox Theology of Moldova is an institution providing higher theological education in the Republic of Moldova.
