On the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women, numerous church-goers gathered in the Nativity of the Lord Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau to share the prayers with Metropolitan Vladimir during the Divine Liturgy.
His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova was assisted at the service by His Grace Ioan, Bishop of Soroca and Vicar of the Metropolis of Moldova, archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Cathedral Dean and metropolitan secretary, and the clergy of the Cathedral.
During the Service, deacon Vasile Manica was ordained into priesthood and appointed to the Protection of the Theotokos parish of Ghidighici community, Chisinau municipality. Seminary student Petru Rotaru was ordained deacon.
The hierarch congratulated the newly ordained clergy and wished them steadiness and worthy ministry, being example of purity, Christian humility, and faith.
The Archpastor of the Orthodox Church of Moldova congratulated all women on the Christian Women’s Day that is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women, and wished them to continue spreading the Christian faith, bearing light and leading a God-pleasing way of life.
