Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen! This is the greeting that is heard on the night of Holy Pascha and forty days after this Feast of Feasts and Holy Day of holy days. This greeting echoed in this bright night at the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral during the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova, assisted by Archpriest Vadim Cheibas and the Cathedral clergy.
Hundreds of church-goers gathered on the Night of the Resurrection of Christ at the Cathedral, among whom President Igor Dodon and other high state officials who came to pray in unity and one voice with the entire Orthodox breathing of our country.
During the Liturgy, Cathedral’s deacon Mihail Mihalas was advanced into the dignity of protodeacon.
The Gospel of the Feast was read in Latin by Metropolitan Vladimir, and in Slavic, French, English, Portuguese, and Greek by the concelebrating priests.
At the end of the Service, the Archpastor greeted the faithful, and the Metropolitan’s Pastoral message was read out.
Massive presence of the Christians at the Divine Liturgy during the Night of the Resurrection confirms once again the unity of our people in the Church and in the ancestral faith.
