On the Second Sunday after Holy Pascha, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the St. Vladimir Monastery, Colincauti, Ukraine

On the Second Sunday after Holy Pascha, St. Thomas’ Sunday, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Knyaz Vladimir Monastery in his native village Colencauti, Hotin raion, Cernauti region.

During the Divine Service, the Archpastor’s prayers were shared with his fellow villagers, after which Metropolitan Vladimir blessed the praying community, wishing them spiritual ascension on the way of salvation.

A Cross Procession around the monastery’s main church followed after the Divine Liturgy, and then a Commemoration service was officiated, in the memory of the holy shrine’s main ctitors, the parents of Metropolitan Vladimir, servants of God Vasile and Vera Cantarean inhumated on the territory of the monastery.

“It is our duty and honour to commemorate the ctitors of the monastery. May God forgive my parents Vasile and Vera, may they rest in peace and we ever commemorate them. Since their repose in the Lord, I commemorate them during all Liturgies, and today’s service is a special day when I have utmost pleasure to be together with my native community members”, said the Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.

The archpastoral service on this Sunday, in the atmosphere of zealous prayer for the reposed, in the middle of this blessed church community, brought light, peace, and spiritual joy in the Lord to Colencauti inhabitants.
